No audio/visual recording devices are allowed. All materials are the intellectual property of Bar Exam Techniques by Stavisky, Inc.
In order to provide all students with a quality course, please hold questions be until the end of class or during the break.
Sample answers are provided as a guide for the student. Both good and poor answers are provided to illustrate which techniques earn points and which do not.
The majority of the student answers contained in this note book were graded by the Massachusetts Board of Bar examiners on a five (5) point scale. Please be advised that that highest points that can be earned per essay question as of the July 2001 Bar Exam is seven (7) points.
Missed classes: Students who may not attend a scheduled class may attend the class in an alternate locations. Since all classes are live, recorded classes may not be available to students.
If there is a question on class cancellation due to weather or other emergencies, an attempt to notify students will be made, however, ultimately it is the student's responsibility to contact the Stavisky staff at 617-828-2023.
There is a $75.00 charge for replacement of the Workbook and/or Jogger.
The copying of Bar Exam Techniques by Stavisky's materials or lectures by any means and for any purpose is prohibited.
Bar Exam Techniques by Stavisky, Inc. will not be held responsible for any difficulties to the student due to factors beyond Bar Exam Techniques by Stavisky's control, including but not limited to course locations and conditions.
Bar Exam Techniques by Stavisky reserves the right to change course dates and locations.
All checks returned to Bar Exam Techniques by Stavisky due to insufficient funds are subject to a $35 fee.
Extended Course Students: Students
who wish to have their past Bar Exam essays reviewed must
submit them by the second class. Bar Exam Techniques by Stavisky,
Inc. will not be held responsible for lost Bar Exam Essays.
Please submit photocopies of your essays received from the
Board of Bar Examiners.
Students in the Full Course should pass in all assignments on time. Late homework may not be corrected.
Homework & class work will be returned to students. Two thirds of submitted assignments will usually be corrected.
To ensure timely corrections, students' essays should be mailed directly to their mentors/readers. Students must write their names on every assignment.
If you take a Bar Exam Techniques Full Course and you are unsuccessful on that Bar Examination, you may repeat a Full Course at a reduced price provided that you have kept your workbook. All discounted tuition is subject a director's approval.
Bar Exam Techniques by Stavisky, Inc.'s mentor/readers are independent contractors.
Cancellation & Withdrawals:
EXTENDED COURSE STUDENTS
All withdrawals or cancellations must be received in writing. Students may withdraw from the course within five (5) business days before the start of the course. Students who withdraw within 1 hour after the start of the full course will receive 90% of their tuition and must return their workbooks and joggers in their original condition. Materials received in unsatisfactory condition will be subject to a $75 Workbook / Jogger fee. Students who wish to withdraw after the first day or after one (1) hour from the start of the course will receive one half of their tuition, and will be charged $150 dollars per class regardless of attendance prior to receipt of the written notice of their intent to withdraw. All refunds and cancellations are subject to approval. Approved refunds may be issued within 90 days of receipt of written cancellation.
WEEKEND WORKSHOP STUDENTS
All withdrawals or cancellations must be received in writing. Students may withdraw from the course within five (5) business days before the start of the course. Students who withdraw within 1 hour after the start of the full course will receive 90% of their tuition and must return their workbooks and joggers in their original condition. Students who withdraw 1 hour or later after the start of a Weekend Workshop may be entitled to a $100 refund. All Bar Review Materials must be returned in the condition that they were issued. Materials received in unsatisfactory condition will be subject to a $75 Workbook / Jogger fee. All refunds and cancellations are subject to approval of a Bar Exam Techniques director. Approved refunds may be issued within 90 days of receipt of written cancellation.
